Office Administrator
The Office Administrator is the key person for the organizational activities of Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church (DMUMC). This role organizes and coordinates activities and information that channels through the church office, communicating the flow of information to the Lead Pastor, Staff, Leadership Board, Ministry Teams, and the congregation. The Office Administrator provides crucial clerical, accounting, and finance support for the church’s leadership and congregation.

- Provide administrative support to the Lead Pastor, staff, Leadership Board, and various ministry teams.
- Organize and manage the daily activities of the church office, ensuring an efficient, clean, and welcoming environment.
- Serve as a primary point of communication: greeting visitors, answering phones, and directing inquiries appropriately.
- Maintain essential church documents, including the membership database, meeting minutes, and financial reports.
- Manage employee records, including time-off, tax information, and benefit packages.
- Handle all church correspondence, including mail, emails (like the weekly “News You Can Use”), and worship bulletins.
- Maintain and coordinate the church calendar, including room and event scheduling.
- Manage inventory of office and janitorial supplies and oversee the maintenance of office equipment.
- Coordinate building and vehicle maintenance, including scheduling with vendors and managing records.
- Assist the Treasurer with accounting and finance duties, including processing invoices, managing check requests, and using accounting software.
The Office Administrator reports to the Lead Pastor for most duties. For tasks related to accounting and finance, this role will report to the Treasurer and Leadership Board Chair. The Lead Pastor provides an annual performance evaluation, with input from the Treasurer and Leadership Board Chair.
