Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church hosts a singular worship service at 10:30 am on Sundays, encapsulating a variety of traditional and contemporary worship themes.
Sunday Worship: We invite you to plan to arrive by 10:15 am to park, get settled in and comfortable, and have a chance to see and learn about some of our many mission activities. Worship begins at 10:30 am as we start our livestream broadcast.
Parking: We have a parking lot which you can enter from either Henry Street or Taylor Street. On Sundays, there is also some on-street parking on College Avenue and Henry Street as well. During the week, we have six designated parking spaces for guest use; the rest are reserved for Randolph-Macon College Faculty & Staff.
Entry/Accessibility: Our main office entrance doors are at the porch facing our parking lot driveway and the Randolph-Macon College Center for the Performing Arts. There is an accessibility ramp next to our playground and an accessibility door from the porch into the foyer.
Colonnade Hospitality Center: After entering the office foyer, take the hallway on the right that leads to our sanctuary narthex through our glass colonnade. Visit our hospitality table, meet some of our members, and learn more about our upcoming missions and activities. You can make a nametag, sign up for our weekly email (The News You Can Use), or request a time to meet with Pastor Michael.
Whole Family Approach: We like to do things together as a family, and encourage you to bring everyone in yours! We worship together, learn about faith together, and find ways to serve others in missions together as well.
Music: Our worship service features a mix of music. We mostly use songs from The United Methodist Hymnal, played by Elizabeth Hargrove on the organ or the piano. We also feature more modern music from Christian artists as well, played by a number of our talented congregation members on a variety of instruments!
Everyone is welcome to join us on Sundays, no matter their beliefs. We’re excited to worship with you!
