United Methodist Day at the General Assembly is in-person in Richmond on February 1, 2024! United Methodists from across Virginia will gather together in Richmond. There will be formal visits with our representatives to discuss issues relevant to our faith with direction from our partners at Virginia Interfaith Center for Public Policy (VICPP), a time of learning with Bishop Sue Haupert-Johnson, and much more packed into our day of advocacy.
If you are interested you can register here for the UM Day
BUT, if you have questions or just want to learn more about UM Day before formally registering for the event, our informational meeting might be more your speed. Join us on November 30 at 7pm for a preview of United Methodist Day at the General Assembly. Register for the informational meeting here.
The day’s agenda will be discussed as well as a review of how Virginia politics works, the potential issues before us, and how to meet with your legislators. There will be plenty of time for questions and answers and attending the informational meeting does not mean you have to attend in January.
