Love is in the air! The Central Virginia Masterworks Chorale will present the Virginia premiere of LOVE, a commissioned work composed by Dr. Willam Payn.
Conducted by Ryan Tibbetts, LOVE will be performed by the Chorale with soprano and baritone soloists and string orchestra at Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church on Friday night, May 17 at 7:30pm. It will also be performed on Saturday, May 18 at 7:30pm at Grace Baptist Church in Richmond, VA.
LOVE highlights lyrics taken from poems by notables including e.e. cummings, Langston Hughes, and Elizabeth Barrett Browning with narration by local celebrity Mike Goldberg. Mike is a classical music host at VPM and a meteorologist at CBS 6 in Richmond.
